Any ideas on how to get started? What are you ladies doing to loose weight? I continue to give into my cravings and that doesn't work. I also am feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start. I am asking for help... Thank you!
I want to give you BIG HUG. You have written a beautiful blog and I have enjoyed reading your goals and getting to know a little bit of you. I will right more tomorrow when I can give you more of my thoughts. Don't forget you are beautiful, just the way you are.
A really big part is going to be about food. What are you eating? What is your daily calorie count? A lot of us use myfitnesspal.com to record our food. I think it's critical to know this info if you want to make progress or even changed to your diet. You may be shocked at how high in calorie things can be and how fast they really add up. Once you have this sticker shock you start to not want to write things down and automatically start skipping the extra sauce, or loading your salad with 20 things instead of 5 etc. We have all posted some foods we eat too, so read around, read my blog and start taking on the challenges. If you drink anything besides water, start there too. MORE WATER! No sodas. Add a walk here and there but honestly, the food is where the battle really lies and you have to be honest with yourself and dive in. We can't lose with out learning as we go. 1 woman is on weight watchers. A couple other women (including me) are on the Visalus protein shakes (sure makes life easy when the meal choice is made). Getting on a regiment like one of these can really take the work away from you and give you a system that works for others. Good luck. Make some sort of decision that you keep for yourself this week too. You need to have trust in yourself that you can do it too. Each broken promise to ourself affects us just like it would if somebody else did it. And 1 kept promise can also do great things in the right direction too. :)
I was going to ask what you are craving? And does it really satisfy you? I have to echo annie with the myfitnesspal. I am not using it right now, but I guess it is two years ago when I took that serious step, I started using it. It really helped me to have a veggie packed salad with a tomato basil dressing at lunch. Where do you live? I am lucky that there is a STeve's pizza in Woodland, so when I started, and now when I need to get back on track, I head there for lunch. It used to be 3.23 for a togo salad and I would pack on so many veggies. The TB dressing has 20-30 calories and is tasty. I know that a salad of this caliber would cost 15 buckeroonies if it were weighed at a 7.99 a pound place. But actually it probably wouldn't because I am not choosing the heavier toppings, but I digress. I too drink the Visalus in the morning. I find it is more affordable and healthier than picking up a bagel, or a scone, which is what i always did with my morning routine. I was a creature of habit... I would get a coffee and a rice crispy treat every morning. Ugh, can't even think about it now. But if I have a shake (I don't get fancy with it, I just mix it with apple/grape 100% juice blend) and I think it starts my day off good. Maybe I am kidding myself and it is just another habitual food option, but I it works for me. I buy them on Amazon, because I couldn't handle the shipping costs through Visalus. If you don't mind, I have shared so much that I am going to copy and paste this to a blog myself, so everyone can read it.
