Asking for help...

Any ideas on how to get started?  What are you ladies doing to loose weight?  I continue to give into my cravings and that doesn't work. I also am feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start.   I am asking for help...  Thank you!

Thank you for checking in with me, Annie...
I guess I just lost my momentum.  I have habits that won't die and continue to sabotage my success.  I do good for the first few days, and then I get distracted or make excuses.  I am planning on weighing in tomorrow and this is my blog.  I would like to still participate. Maybe, I just need to take this journey one day at a time and remind myself every morning why I want this for myself.
I am off to a good start today.  I had oatmeal, which I have prepared for the next two days and am now going to make lunch and dinner, as well.
Thank you, again for checking in on me and bringing me back.  I deserve to be my best self to truly be happy and confident in not only who I am inside, but who I am outside, as well...

Weeks 19th and 26th

During the week of the 19th, my small goals were to decide how I am going to tackle loosing weight.  This is something I have always struggled with throughout my life with little success.  I hope to change that this year, with your help and with the other ladies support.  This is what I have decided:
(1/26/2014)
Goal 1 for this week: I will make a shopping list today (Sunday) and go shopping Monday and Tuesday of this week.
Goal 2:  My roommate owns insanity, and I have decided to walk around Lake Merritt every other day, switching off with insanity, so I am not overwhelmed, five days a week, for example: Monday (LM), Tuesday (IN), Wednesday (LM), Thursday (IN), Friday (LM).
Goal 3:  Tuesday I am going to make meals for Wed, Thurs, and Fri.  Saturday, I will make meals for Sun and Mon.
From now on my diet will consisit of Weight watchers recipies, recipies from a website called, 'Eat Yourself Skinny', and I would like to cut down on my dairy intake, maybe eventually, giving all  dariy up.  Though, I cannot imagine my life without cheese!!!
I am also going to keep a food and workout journal through My Fitness Pal, it's an app!  It helps one loose weight by counting calories, though, I think I will just use it as a journal.
Please feel free to use the website or app, they are pretty neat!
See you all next week!

Weight Loss CPR and Vision

January 17, 2014

CPR
Context: “So I like what I see when I’m looking at me, when I’m walking past the mirror…”

Purpose: To increase my self-discipline, energy, and focus, preparing myself for my future, so that I have the confidence to achieve anything and the body to live a long, healthy life with a partner to grow old with.
Results:
1)    I fit comfortably into a size 8 or lose 50 lbs by December 11, 2014 and feel comfortable in my own skin.
2)    I am in the best shape of my life with a defined, toned, feminine six-pack.
3)    I incorporate healthy eating habits and maintain them as a lifestyle change.
4)    I am honest with my family and friends around my progress and I clearly ask for what I need: an accountability buddy and a cheerleader.
5)    I inspire others to join me in reaching their own weight-loss goals.

Weight loss (vision)
The workout regimes are heart-pumping fun, easy workouts. I push my body, mind, and soul to their limit.  The weight is just melting off.  I have more energy and focus throughout the day.  I am receiving compliments left and right.  I walk with a sense of accomplishment, pride, and self-confidence, creating inspiration for others around me to take charge of their own weight-loss goals.
