During the week of the 19th, my small goals were to decide how I am going to tackle loosing weight. This is something I have always struggled with throughout my life with little success. I hope to change that this year, with your help and with the other ladies support. This is what I have decided:
(1/26/2014)
Goal 1 for this week: I will make a shopping list today (Sunday) and go shopping Monday and Tuesday of this week.
Goal 2: My roommate owns insanity, and I have decided to walk around Lake Merritt every other day, switching off with insanity, so I am not overwhelmed, five days a week, for example: Monday (LM), Tuesday (IN), Wednesday (LM), Thursday (IN), Friday (LM).
Goal 3: Tuesday I am going to make meals for Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Saturday, I will make meals for Sun and Mon.
From now on my diet will consisit of Weight watchers recipies, recipies from a website called, 'Eat Yourself Skinny', and I would like to cut down on my dairy intake, maybe eventually, giving all dariy up. Though, I cannot imagine my life without cheese!!!
I am also going to keep a food and workout journal through My Fitness Pal, it's an app! It helps one loose weight by counting calories, though, I think I will just use it as a journal.
Please feel free to use the website or app, they are pretty neat!
See you all next week!

ReplyDeleteGreat job on your small goals and planning your week. Giving up dairy is such an amazing thing to do. For yourself and for the animals. If you just can't live without cheese, there are "fake" cheeses that are truly amazing. And they are way less calories and fat. I'm about 90-95% dairy free, and it feels amazing. Great job with everything so far, and good luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! Insanity is super hard, so you might hate it and develop some negative feelings for working out. Just remember that you will get better and better each time and it's just a starting point. I worked out so hard and started to slack off because I felt like it had to be hard or it wasn't worth it. I now have a balance and a lifestyle of activity and enjoy the balance. I'm glad I had that period and tested all my limits (when I lost the most weight too!) so I'm not discouraging you but I know a lot of people give up too soon. I just want to add an angle to look at when you might feel like quiting.
ReplyDeleteAs for the cheese, I just started substituting cheese in my salads with the non-dairy Daiya brand. I don't notice the difference because the texture is similar and I like cheese in my salads. So, less calories, no bad fats and I feel like I get cheese. Another big thing that helped me is no carbs for dinner. They turn to sugar and you just go to bed with them. Good job!
